MLM Lead Generation Free ReportSo you’ve built a website or blog to get the word out about your MLM opportunity and decided that you want to use your site to build an email list. This is certainly a sound MLM lead generation strategy and one that is often overlooked by many network marketers, so it can quickly put you ahead of your MLM opportunity competitors. For most marketers though the question is, “How do I get people to opt in to my email list?”

Let’s face it – most of us are hesitant to give out our email addresses. We get tons of junk mail every day and we don’t want to add to it by letting yet another marketer bombard us with sales pitches. We’re very selective about those to whom we entrust with our email addresses – and for good reason.

The best way to get around this problem is to offer a free report in exchange for the opt-in. People love free information and they will be much more likely to opt in to your list if they are confident they are getting something of value in return. People perceive ebooks and reports as having high value, so many will gladly give you their email addresses to get hold of your information.

One caution about using this MLM lead generation approach, though – make absolutely sure that your report contains valuable information that your subscribers can use to improve their lives. Don’t give your subscribers fluff content or use the report just as a means of pitching your MLM opportunity. Subscribers will judge you by the quality of the content they receive (even if it is free), and if you just send them a sales pitch or a bunch of filler, they will quickly unsubscribe from your list. If that happens, you can bet you’ve lost all hope of turning them into interested prospects.

Your report doesn’t have to be terribly long – 10 to 12 pages will do. Most people will be more likely to read a 10-page report than an 80-page document anyway, so there’s no need to spend weeks writing a mammoth report.

Done correctly, a free report will do wonders for your MLM opportunity. By overdelivering great content, you will build an MLM lead generation funnel that is responsive, interested, and ready to join your business.

    Very interesting!
  • Free reports are a wonderful way to build a list, not to mention it can be set up relatively easily. With all of the ebooks out there that are rebrandable, have resell rights, or have PLR rights, it's easy to come up with one to give away. I definitely agree that it should be quality content though. The more you can give away for free, the more likely your prospect will feel comfortable buying from you in the future.

Thanks for the great post :)

  • I agree with this marketing strategy 100% Everyone loves something for FREE and Internet Marketers love targeted leads rather than cold calling. Network Marketing is all about building relationships which so many people forget. Gain trust by offering value and then ask for the sale : )
