I am sure you know that online video has become very popular in recent years. YouTube, Viddler, Kewego, Yahoo!Video, and countless others. But did you know that you can use YouTube for your MLM lead generation?
Let’s do some numbers:
- In January 2009 alone, nearly 79 million users had made over 3 Billion views…in 1 month!
- As of April 9, 2009 a YouTube search returns 83.4 million videos and climbing by the minute!
- YouTube accounts for well over 60% of all video online.
- On alexa.com YouTube is ranked the 3rd most popular site on the internet taking a back seat only to the Yahoo and Google behemoths.
Now this is what really blew me away…
It was estimated on March 31, 2009 that there were 1,407,724,920 GLOBAL internet users.
Going back to alexa.com, they tell us that 18.647% of GLOBAL internet users visited YouTube over a 3-month period.
Do you realize what this means? Allow me to do the math…
1,407,724,920 GLOBAL INTERNET USERS
18.647% OF THEM VISIT YOUTUBE…
1,407,724,920 users x 18.647% = 262,498,465.8!
That’s 262,498,465.8 reasons to learn how to DOMINATE this little thing called YouTube.
Millions of people use YouTube every day for entertainment, education, and research purposes. The sheer number of visitors alone makes YouTube a great avenue for promoting your MLM home business. After all, out of the millions of people who use this site every day, you can be sure that there are some who will be interested in your MLM opportunity.
Videos uploaded to YouTube also tend to fare well in search engine rankings. Here is a personal example.
It’s not uncommon for a YouTube video to show up on the first page of Google search results (the fact that Google owns YouTube probably doesn’t hurt either). So it’s very possible to upload a video to YouTube and establish a first page ranking within a matter of days – sometimes even more quickly.
Another reason to use YouTube to build your MLM home business is the ease with which you can the videos on websites and blogs. You can use them in your own website and blog content and encourage your distributors to embed the videos on their websites as well.
This lets you leverage the time you spent creating and uploading your videos by having them appear in dozens or even hundreds of places. And isn’t leveraging time and effort what makes MLM such a great home business?
